Heavy Vehicle Body Building Apprenticeship

Automotive Group Training (AGT) is looking for a motivated individual to start their career in Heavy Vehicle Body Building. 

Location: St Marys, NSW

Day-2-Day:

You’ll be working alongside and assisting a team of qualified tradesmen to complete work tasks such as drilling, and fitting. Learning and completing tasks requiring hot works (welding, oxy cutting) to general cleaning duties. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Modifying of heavy vehicles including trucks
• Fabricate weld and assemble according to specifications.
• Working with deadlines.
• Servicing, repairs, and maintenance work.
• Maintain a safe working area.

To be successful for the role you must have:

• Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience in a similar role in the engineering or automotive industry.
• Excellent work ethic.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Can work without supervision.
• Team player hands-on & can multi-task.
• Must be able to read and interpret workshop drawings.
• Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
• Willing to make overtime.
• Have a high level of pride of workmanship and attention to detail.
• High standards of honesty, integrity, and professionalism.

 Our Ideal Candidate 

• Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Be willing to obtain required PPE (Boots, Glasses, and Vest) 
• Must be willing to undertake and work towards completing training in the relevant formal qualification
