Agriculture Traineeship - Yass NSW

Full time Traineeship based in Yass

This is an excellent opportunity to hone your skills and interest in agriculture by joining a mixed farming enterprise based in Yass, whilst earning a nationally recognised qualification in agriculture

Here at Apprenticeship Careers Australia, we are seeking a motivated individual to undertake a Certificate III in Agriculture in Yass.

The Role:

As a Trainee, you will assist in maintaining pastures and infrastructure, participate in animal husbandry activities and learn how to operate and maintain farm machinery. You will gain knowledge and hands-on experience in the industry, while working towards completing - AHC30116 - Certificate III in Agriculture

Duties include:

• Assisting with various land management activities.
• Management of livestock and feed
• Maintaining and installing fences as required
• Assist supervisor with day-to-day tasks running the farming enterprise.
• Learning and understanding the importance of Work Health and Safety within the workspace.
• Learning how to maintain workshop equipment and mobile plant.
• Following supervisor instructions.

Potential Candidates:

• Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Drivers license required 
• White card required, or willing to obtain
• Physically fit
• Be friendly, easy to talk to and a team player.
• Posess a strong work ethic  
• Commitment to working safely and able to follow instructions and procedures. 
• Willing to work weekends if required
• High attention to detail
• Committed to working and study to complete a 2-year  Certificate III in Agriculture - AHC30116
