Role Description

No industry experience necessary

Getting your foot in the door to the specialist field of Work Health and Safety and learning the right skills can be difficult. But don’t worry, we have an entry-level traineeship on offer that can help you kick-start your career!

No formal industry experience is necessary as we are looking for a motivated and passionate individual that is eager to commence their career as a Work Health Safety Trainee.

You will receive 12-18 months of invaluable on the job training and at the same time, complete a fully funded qualification in Work Health and Safety.

No experience necessary!

Previous experience is not essential as we are seeking someone who has the right attitude, is dependable, reliable, with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

 About You:

Duties include:

  • Review the initial processing of near miss and minor incident reports within the Altus intranet reporting system
  • Allocating Action Owners and ensuring all actions have been effectively closed out within specified time frames
  • Reporting regularly in relation to incident and injury trends and the status of corrective actions and incident mitigation measures to upper management
  • Compile incident investigations and learning outcomes data from Incident Investigation Manager  to share across the organisation 
  • Exhibit a keen eye for detail and the capability to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Attending internal meetings, workshops and RTO training as required
  • Other duties as directed

Hours (38 hours per week)

Candidate Requirements:

  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Drivers Licence preferred
  • Competent computer literacy and typing skills
  • Keenness for Work Health and Safety and willing to learn new skills
  • Ability to prioritise requirements
  • High-level written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in the Microsoft Office suite preferred
